probably broke them while diagnosing a leak, and in frustration did it, no one knows why anyone does anything anymore, he could of scrapped the aluminum.... who knows, but to reinstall them, you have to be sure that you have all the other pieces, the compressor, evaporator, condensor, once all of those are in place and we hope there wasn't a preexisting problem ( i bet yes), contact a junk yard, or used online, or ford themselves, and get the best deal on the parts you need, then bolt them in....google diagrams or if from ford, get a schematic...If you intend on doing repairs to your vehicle over time, I seriously suggest the CHILTONS REPAIR MANUAL, it is a complete uninstall and rebuild of every single component in the vehicle, way worth the 15-20 bucks....sorry if i didnt help much

well I have confidence in any motivated person, begin with the Chiltons book, locate and identify each part, (or location for it) in person, (all it takes is one unaccessable piece to ruin a day or 2 of work), locate the missing pieces, (though wrong to assume, we can HOPE the remaining equipment is in tact, and workable condition), get the parts that are left (ordered etc), ***Backyard trick*** the dealerships use a DYE to locate leaks in the ac, a blacklight, and the eye/safety/sun glasses with the YELLOW tint, will also make the r134-a appear. then assemble following directions, and (us), and whalah...then a couple cans of the r134-a. another backyard attempt at filling, (BECAUSE many state laws prevent this) due to o-zone conditions, attach the quick connect tap from the canister you bought to the low pressure side line...start the truck, allowing it to run, with the ac on full blast on face vent, open the container to allow the coolant in, eventually (after a can or 2) not sure the size off hand (pre-coffee), but the ac compressor will activate, and you will have ac. If it stops working in a day or 2 or 3 weeks, then you know there is a hole, (or it is clogged), but we are always here for you, best of luck....
