Dodge ram 250 van make a clicking sound before start in cold weather

In cold weather a dodge ram 250 van v-6 crank for a few minutes , there are no power to the ignition
cap or coil and won't start until after a clicking sound stop.

the battery if more than ten years old will not have the full potential that it needs to get the job done. Nor will battery terminals that should have all corrosion hosed off, and wirebrushed to a no corrosion level of cleanliness, the ground cable as it connects to the chassis also must be able to pull 'round 300 cold crank amps so, we can't forget this connection and the connection to the engine block with this fat ole' cable too- Once you got the power, you got the women-

Battery stores will "load test" your battery to see if it is shot. If you do need one and you are on a budget ask about putting in a restock, I have Had good luck with these.
