I noticed on my 2000 Mustang that when running the fan in back of the radiator wasn't spinning. Does the fun not come on until the motor reaches a certain temperature or is the fan bad?

the rad fan doesnt always spin... if your really worried about it next time you gas up check it before you shut the car off... but if it isnt overheating then its likely fine... or with the windows down listen for it at the lights... you should be able to hear it ... but if you run the car for 15 mins and then check it it should be on... ( i think the setting is to turn the fan on when temps are higher than 82degree C but thats a stat i cant back up with anything online so yeah...
Ok thanks thats what I thought, it doesn't overheat I just saw it when it first started up the fan wasn't running.
Alex is right, the fan on the belt pulleys spins all the time, but the fan, or fans on the radiator shroud, only comes on when the sensor, reaches a certain temp.... hope this helps
