2000 windstar wont start. I changed plugs and wires but messed up the sequence tried to start and only puffed smoke from throttle body once. Corrected the sequence, now wont crank. Could I have blown the starter? Also theft light blinks could that be the problem?

,you sure you got the fireing order right,no on starter, check to see if it is getting gas, spark,if no gas do you here the FP hume when you turn key switch on,if not check ECM fuse.if no spark you could have blown the crank sencor missread theft light, unhook battery for 10 min, this will clear computer rehook it should crank.
