Fuse keeps blowing

Asked by Sherry Dec 20, 2018 at 09:19 PM about the 1997 Eagle Talon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The windshield wipers on my 97 talon wont work. I
thought it was just a blown fuse but every time i
change the fuse it immediately blows again.
Anyone know what could be going on?

Sounds like the wiper motor itself is shorting out internally when powered, or the wiring to the control system or motor is damaged and when power is applied it shorts out to ground, blowing the fuse.
