Ford Bantam diesel pump

The 1800 Diesel Bantam came into the market in 2002 . This is a mechanical diesel fuel pump similar to the Escort 1800 TD. The injectors are not electonically operated. The injectors operation is performed mechanically through the injector pump. The Bantam 1400 TDCI was launched in 2008 and the engine and pump is the same as the Ford Ikon 1400 TDCi. This pump is driven off the camshaft and is a continuos high pressure pump like the Fiesta 1600 TDCi. with the injectors been electronically operated. These injectors are Pizzo electonically operated which are very sensitive to pulse. Every injection gives a double pulse.
