Why is my Tracker vibrating in turns?

Asked by Baddog60 Oct 24, 2011 at 06:24 PM about the 1993 Geo Tracker

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyone know why my Tracker started vibrating anytime its rolling above about 25.  The vibration gets worse in left turns and goes away in right turns and is not engine related.

I'm a 25-year veteran mechanic and it sounds to me like you have a wheel bearing going out or just gone out. if you're driving in a straight line and you pull to the left a little bit and a noise goes away it's on the left hand side if you're driving in a straight line and you pull to the right a little bit and then noise goes away it's on the right hand side that's called weight transfer and it picks the weight up off the tire that's making the noise I would jack up the front end and check the bearings on either side
