Last week it was hesitant to start. Battery went completely dead. Bought new battery and it still won't start.
It could be the starter? Try taking the battery terminals off the battery and hooking up jumper cables to the terminals. Then try starting the Envoy. If it starts you know its probably the battery. If it doesn't start it's probably a bad starter or loose, corroded, or broken wires leading to the starter. A bad ignition switch. Does the key have a + or a circle around the + at the hilt of the key?
Ok that eliminates a chipped key problem. Have you tried to jump it with the cables off of the battery?
