I found a 99 mustang 35th edition. Its color is white and the person don't know much about it she is not the cat type I guess. anyways she says it has a v8 and also has a 6 speed manual tranny. I cant find out how it has a 6 speed since ford dident introduce that to there cars until early 2000s. Think you could help me to understand what she might have? and it currently has 200,000 miles on it. would this be worth me getting. She wants to trade for my dodge truck that only has 133,000 miles on it

Good looking car. If she not a car person could she be considering reverse as the sixth gear.
I was thinking the same thing. Not to many out there that would consider reverse as a 6th gear but I have come across a couple. but she does swear its a v8 and her dad did vouch for that. how can I tell the difference between a regular coupe and a GT?
they only came in 5 speed, get picture under the hood and back of the car should have dual exhaust. looks like a v6 unless they swapped it .but it does look like a stock v6 from the pictures.
get pictures from under the hood and that should confirm.im 90% sure its a v6 by the looks of it.
ok so I did confirm from her the person she bought the car from installed a v8 with the 6 speed tranny. she was insulted when I asked about the reverse. So being that it does have the v8 and is a 6 speed would trading my 95 ram 1500 be worth the trade?
Lol. About her getting insulted about reverse. Maybe she also thought neutral was was a gear. Haha but. ..... If the swap was done within the last 100k miles I would say it's a good deal if she has paperwork.
It’s a 5 speed and she’s counting reverse as a gear making it a 6 speed
