Where is back-up lamps switch on a 1999 Ford Ranger, manual trans, 4cyl?

under hood eather on master cylender or on the anti locl break box,is a screw in switch.

It is on the driver's side of the transmission about halfway between the back of the bell housing and where the tail shaft bolt to the transmission case (it sits on top according to my Ford catalog). I hope this helps....

i replaced the one in my 94 ranger 4 cyl 5 speed and it was on the drivers side of the transmission half way back and the plug on it was red
