I have 1999 Ford Taurus dohc. Since I have gotten it 2 yrs ago it's has been an ordeal in the winter and in the summer relativity dependable. Until this spring. It will not start but cranks all day.

I have changed all 6 plugs and wires.
Replaced intake gasket. Replaced
thermostat. Replaced maf (mass air flow)
sensor. No coolant in oil. Compression in
all 6 cylinders. Spark from all 6. Smell gas
from flooding when trying to crank.
Pressure in gas flow when spritzed. Had 3
mechanics 2 old mopar guys (dad and
uncle) neighbors that are familiar with
issues. No one knows anything about any
possibilities now. Last winter wouldn't want
to start. Yr before same thing. Ran fine all
summer. Started a dozen time the last
month and purrs when it does. Almost
starts when it wants.

have you checked the codes on the car to see if any are stored in computer ?

@zapolski only code that comes back had always been low coolant pressure. Never had another code. That's y I originally thought maf. Showing rpm when cranking as well so didn't think it was the crank sensor
could also be coolant temp sensor shorted out and can you hear fuel pump prime when you turn key on?

@Zapolski but if was coolant temp sensor shouldn't it not send a reading to the panel? And would/could that prevent it from starting? Every time key turns on fuel pump kicks. Actually get a more "likeable"crank when priming a few times before attempting to start.
What's your fuel pressure if you spray the throttle body with starting fluid does it start?

40 psi. Won't run on ether but definitely getting spark in the right firing order
