Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1998 GMC jimmy won't start and key will not go back far enough to release the key.
Car was running fine but back breaks went out. Moved the car to my shed and a week
later battery was dead. Charged battery car started. Moved again. A week later went
out to work on brakes and car has absolutely no power to it and can't remove the key.
Tried wiggling steering column and key with no luck. Tried wiggling the shifter and
nothing. Tried to jump car again and still no power.

There is a release on the shifter and one in the steering column. One or both could be faulty. I broke the one in the shifter so the key would release. download keepvid program
