My 1997 GMC turbo diesel acted like it ran out of gas. But it would start back up after a minute or 2. Changed the fuel filter, the fuel pump located on the side of the truck. It still happens. I can start it, leave it on my sloped driveway and it dies in 1-5 minutes. Parked it on a flat surface(to drop tank and replace pump in the tank) and started it and it continues to run does not die. Makes me think it is not the pump in the tank that is the issue. Any ideas?
