Will a 2005 police interceptor work in my 1998 ford  
crown victoria

yes with some mods..also will need the computer/brain box with the 2005 engine.

Get the engine wiring harness. The job will be easier if you have the whole donor car.

Get the car with the engine, that way you have everything you need except for any parts that might need to be fabricated like the driveshaft.
