Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 97 sonoma with 4.3l takes time to start. At first itll
crank, then I turn key off and let fuel pump work and turn
key again and itll start. Some days it takes a bit longer to
start if I repeat those steps. Idk what it could be.

Sounds like fuel pressure sensor regulator usually located on fuel rail they are bad to get carbon build up, pretty easy fix if this is the problem. Could be a filter possibly even the pump but usually a pump just goes out suddenly not gradually. If it were me I'd pull the pressure sensor and spray it with carb cleaner and see if helps but if it's bad they are relatively cheap and easy to replace
Sounds like a purge vapor canister to me. If it seems to happen more often right after you fill up with gas. I'd try the purge valve. Your car sensing its flooded cause the canister is clogged. Cheap fix also.
