Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive got a 95 gmc 1500. I recently
replaced the heater core along with
the hose from the core to the water
pump and hose assembly to the
block. I have no heat and my fan will
blow light at time then others itll
sound like its blowing really hard. My
truck has now heater control valve
and the blend door is activating so the
actuator and door a working
fine..sound like the blower motor
resistor?

Well, no heat is no heat coming threw. Did you burp the coolant system after heater core replacement? By warming the engine up with the radiator cap off so it can push the air out of the system? Then topping it off wile running before putting the cap back on?

Now as far as the blower motor, there not grounded that good in those, in mine, I had to run a separate ground wire to it, which took care of the problem. Otherwise the resistor yes, but make sure the blower motor is working. Run separate power & ground to it to test it.

The resistor controls the blower motor function, speed, low to high, if that is working properly, I am miss reading your question. If you are talking about the temp. of the heat coming threw, have to get air out of system, the thermostat controls the temp. of the cooling system which = heat, and I see there is a heater control valve? Where is that located? This controls heat temp. also...worth looking into.

My truck dosnt have a control valve. I was told the blower motor resistor helps with heat also..is that not true? Blen door motors working flapper goes up and down...so is it possible the thermostats not functioning right?

The resistor helps with the heat in the fact that it controls the blower motor, that blows the heat into the cabin. Yes the thermostat regulates the cooling system to keep it around 195*. If the thermostat is stuck open or weak, your motor can't warm up to operating temp. there for no heat into the cabin. As far as bleeding, that was in my first answer.

the heater core, water pump, radiator, thermostat, hoses: upper, lower, heating core and radiator hose were replaced with new parts. the system was burped, and the vehicle was ran and driven but the heat on the passenger side work, yet the heat on the driver side doesn't....What the crap?!?
