what holds oil under the engine of a1998 ford exsplore

trying to find out wats leaking from the bottom of my engine I know its oil.

Oil pan gasket or rear main seal(tranny to block) or oil sending uint (left or right side block can't remember) clean it with degreaser real good and watch to know where it's coming from

Are the drips more toward the front bumper/radiator area or back toward the transmission? Is it transmission fluid (red) or engine oil?
