1993 gmc Sierra motor swap

I got a 1993 gmc Sierra with a 4.3 tbi v6
with a nv3500 5speed trans motor blew I'm
trying to stick a carbureted 305 in it anyone
no what I need to make this go smooth

This may not be a swap that happens often so there may not be many "experts" out there. I would start by looking at ROCKAUTO site. By comparing flywheels, clutches, and pressure plates between the V6 and V8 that would give you some idea of what might interchange or be needed for the swap. Also note when you look at a part on ROCKAUTO site, click on the part number and it will tell you all the vehicles the part fits....so if you are going for used parts you will know what to look for. I suspect you could just use similar year V8 motor mounts, unlikely the V6 mounts will work.

Hope you got it running by now. Great thing about GMC, Chevy product there very interchangeable, Trans and flex plate should work, If it an older motor then you don't have to worry about the computer, find a wire that has power when the key is on, Get a HEI Distuber and if your using the electric fuel pump in the tank get a fuel pressure regulator.
