Crankshaft position sensor location

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a mazda 323 1.5i (engine code Z5-DE), that has problems
starting when warm. I have narrowed the problem to the crankshaft position
sensor and have bought a new one. My problem now is that I simply cannot
find the sensors mounting point in the engine. I have a somewhat clear view
of the right side of the engine around the crankshaft pulley, but I see no wires
leading down there, and no crankshaft sensor.

Does anybody know the location of the crankshaft sensor on this engine
model?

Turns out, my car does not have a CPS. The problem was with the distributor unit. There were some electronics that stopped working when warm, so after idling for a while or driving at low speeds, the distributor became too hot and stopped creating spark. I had tried changing the rotor and cap, but this did not solve the problem. After changing the entire unit, the problem was solved
