I have a 1998 Ford Taurus 3.0 overheating.
My Taurus is overheating. I recently replaced the faulty thermostat and it
seemed fine. Now that summer is here it is overheating again. The coolant
return tube that comes from the top of the engine block is making a boiling
sound into the closed reservoir. The water pump is not leaking from the weep
hole and the radiator seems to be ok. The large lower tube at the front end of
the reservoir is not hot when running. The little tube just above the one
described is hot. the hose that goes from the pump to the thermostat housing
is also hot. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm in the process of flushing the
system with Blue Devil brand flush. Thanks for any advice.
