The air was working fine and then the other day it randomly stopped working while I was
driving, there was no air at all coming out. Then the next time i got in the car it was
working again. Now it has not been working for the past two days, not even air.

When was the last time you had the system (R134 levels) checked professionally ? The system could be "oil" or "refrigerant" low and the system is just shutting off to protect itself. I would tell you to have it professionally checked due to the age of the auto.

My 2004 Honda Civic had a great air conditioner and a couple weeks ago, almost instantly, the air was warm. It didn't ease to warm, it went from cold to warm. I also smelled as though steam was coming from the engine. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?
