Asked by TheDA Jan 31, 2016 at 01:59 AM about the 2009 Buick Lucerne

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The battery service charging message came on, engine in
reduced power light came on, traction control light, AC off
Engine hot all came on. Looks like some fluid might be
leaking possibly

Could this be alternator or oil leak issue?

There was nothing there this morning saw a nickel sized grease stain that was it. Thinking it is a battery alternator issue, any help?

Turns out it was the water pump. It went bad an antifreeze sprayed on a belt connected to the alternator which caused the service battery charging system message. Had to replace that belt too
