Ac & heater not working. Air comes out, but it's basically just the fans blowing in air form the outside

Asked by Cecy Apr 03, 2015 at 10:56 PM about the 2001 Honda Accord

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Compressor works, no leaks, has been
recharged with freeon. The fans turn on
when the ac and heater come on, but it just
blows the air the same temperature from
the outside, doesn't cool it or heat it

There’s a small hatch inside your car’s ventilation system called the “blend air door”. When you turn your environmental system from heat to cold, the door should change to drawing in cold air. If it doesn’t change, it will still be drawing heat from the engine and blowing it on you! Again, this is a job for a qualified mechanic. Also make sure that they use a charging machine to charge your freon system this will remove all the freon left in the system before is recharged.

Hello, I changed my honda accord 2007 Stereo from a Single Disk CD to a Six Disk CD changer. Since I did this I had to change the AC Climate Control unit based on it does not fit with the original one. after doing so I plugged in the new one with no difficulty based on it is an original one from honda just a six disk cd Changer is the difference only. however when I turn on the AC it only blows air from the front vents only no matter what setting i put it on. I plug my old one back in and it works great. I was told that it needs to be reprogrammed to the computer however I don't know how to do this. does anyone know how to reprogram it? I have held the Rear Defrost button and nothing happens. dont forget that when I plug in my original radio it works fine. I have even bought another radio to see if it does the same and yes it also has to be reprogramed. I have even went out of my way to purchase an after market kit did the same thing but it allowed me to reprogram it and it works fine. however i only have the kit so I dont want to buy another radio. in total I have Three original stock radios and one after market kit. I need help to program the original ones.

Go to radio-navacde-honda.com enter your vin number and a serial number your radio will give you when you push 1and 6 but along with on button for radio then enter this number onto the website hope you kinda understood if not go to utube they have a video on what to do. To get the serial #. Hope this was not confusing. But helpful.
