I tried to put refrigerant in my gmc acadia but for
some reason it won't go in

Those do it your self refrigerant cans are really not a good idea. No way of telling if the correct amount is in the system. Was then engine running and the compressor cycling when you tried? Best bet is always take it to a professional.
