Why is my 2009 Fusions' keys making noise?

This has been going on for about 3 weeks now. I had the batteries replaced in both keys at the dealership this past weekend and they are still doing it occasionally. It started slow at first but by last week it was every few minutes they were making noise. It is a high pitched whine that spirals down to a drone that repeats itself in sequences of 2 or 3. Now it is back to about 1 or 2 times per day. But, it is annoying and I want to be reassured some other problem isn't being announced with them doing this.
