09 Accent runs rough when accelerating from a stop and check engine light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday it was cold, very cold. 1 degree outside with a wind chill that dropped the temp to -15. I tried to start my car several times (maybe flooded it) but couldn't get it to catch after cranking. Eventually gave up and decided to try it again today. It started with minimal fuss but the check engine light is on. I decided to drive it around the neighborhood and it feels rough when applying the gas from a stop, but when I get to second gear it doesn't feel any different than before. Not sure if the check engine light is for and wondering how worried I should be.
It's a good car, around 90,000 miles and never had any issue before now. Not sure if it's the cold gas, misfiring or that I may have flooded it and then left it in sub zero temperatures.

Thanks

For clarification, it sounds fine at idle, and idles fine. The only weird part is when accelerating from a stop. I can't tell if there is any loss of power once I hit second gear, and the check engine light is solid, not flashing.

Mine did that too. It's a 2010 accent and had the same issues. After a day it went away, so I thought it was the cold. Now today it did the same thing, but started fine and the light came on after I stopped at a stop sign. It's 30 degrees today so I can't attribute it to the cold. Any ideas?
