Little coolant leading to overheating?

My a/c kept switching between blowing cool and non cool air. Then, on my most recent
drive it stopped blowing cool air altogether and then my car overheated. A guy who looked
under the hood said little to no coolant was left. Could this be the main problem? Engine
light had been on the last couple days since the a/c started being weird. Looking for
easiest fix possible. Thoughts?

Fill the coolant to the level it should be at in the car, then check the A/C refrigerant, it may short on charge. try this stuff easy to use https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p2WzuoSHHA
also,what engine lite/check engine..service rad.first..as joemom said..first get light to go off service your radiator.
I have a friend who knows cars going back out to look at it. I didnt drive it after this occurence. We will put coolant in there and go from there I guess. It was check engine light. It has been on for two days but no signs of car running bad
