Engine stops running while driving, check engine light comes on, truck will not restart.

Sound,s like a fuel problem,it being random,check fuel filter and fuel pump.

Electrical issue in the computer circuit board? If the check engine light comes on, have a code reader check what the computer is telling you the problem is. If the fuel/air mixture gets too far out of balance, the engine will shut off to protect it and the smog systems.

I've had 2 Chevy C1500 with VORTEC engines (4.3L & 5.7L). This sounds exactly like an Ignition Control Module failure. Truck would run great until it got warmed up, then it would shut off... wait until engine cooled down and it would start right up and run until the engine got hot again. Replaced the ICM and problem solved.

that swhat i thought put new ICM still doing it put a pressure gauge on fel pump reading 62 pounds i thought it was high but do no know
