2 gears if your towing something heavy uphill and winter season. d3 for heavy traffic situation where stop and go are often and d4 for highways.

i have the two door ,same trans, drive 4 is your norm. drive3 on highways that are hilly or mountainess. drive 2 i only ever use to keep the trans from shifting out when passing other people at lower speeds i dont know about all that towing something thes cars are a lil on the no balls side .they have to be high in the rpm's to make any h.p. and even then they make lil tork
For general purposes, just keep it in D4. In wet oily streets or snow, you might want to start out from a stop in D2 and then go to D4.
D4 is for Wegon Drive Mode,( Economy Mode ) u can drive upto 220 KM/Hr, D3, D2 May be used for Power / Sports Mode or for Climbing Hills or Some place at 45 degree Angle. sohail Rizvi Dubai/ Karachi

hi. i have a honda civic vti a/t 96 model. Is it advisable to use D2 to downshift from D4 when travelling at high speeds for engine braking? will it damage my tranny? thank you

Just bought a 2004 Civic VP & when changing from park to drive, cold or warm, it hiccups a couple times then catches & doesn't have any issues...til I'm in park again & shift into drive. This happens every single time, unless after putting into drive I wait about 5 seconds..then accelerate. Is this near future tranny issues, tranny fluid low, solenoid, spring?
i just bought a 99 honda civic and my mecanic said to just drive in drive 4
1999 CRV rolls while in park and makes a grinding noise when I try to drive it, what do you think it can be?
Why does it shift real hard
You/previous owner drive like a ignorent tard, now you got to buy a new trans or replace the worn out parts! Honda, = not tard proof! Not! tard reliable lol. Vs any other mechanical/electric purchase. Hope this helped.
