check fuel pressure
ok how do you check that?
look for the fuel rail there should be a place to put injector cleaner in it looks like a tire valve.
The 'fuel rail' TupeloMS is referring to is the fuel manifold on the fuel injection system, and I agree with him, it looks very much like a tire valve, you hook a tester up to that to check to see if you are getting proper fuel pressure to the injectors. But injector cleaner just goes in with a tank of gas, however good quality gasoline used regularly will cause you to never need an after-market fix-it-in-a-can crap.
if you push the valve in, with the key on, gas should spit out although you wont know how much pressure it has but if you have no pressure it is probably a filter or fuel pump. I had a car that had some pressure but would not crank. I also found that the computer was not giving the fuel pump enough voltage.
thank you David and TupeloMS I will get that checked hope thats what the problem is
Your cars OBD 2 system will throw a code for clogged fuel filter. It does this by monitoring the time duration that is required to maintain proper fuel mixture. If this time becomes too long it throws a code .Due to restricted fuel flow threw the "clogged filter"
When I go to start my car, it WILL NOT start, but it will crank, BUT NOT FULLY to were it has started. And, the battery is not the issue AND the starter is not the issue. what could the issue be????? I HAVE A '98 Honda Civic.

I have a 1998 Accord 2.3 in Michigan. Car was running fine Saturday night in February when I parked it. I woke up Sunday morning and changed the heater control valve that's mounted on the firewall where the heater core comes out. I must have bumped one of the plug wires on the distributor cap off in the process. When I started the car it sputtered for about 2 seconds and stalled. Once I discovered the wire off I put it back on and the car just cranked over and would not start. Didn't even act like it wanted to leading me to think spark. I cleaned all of the connections under the cap and cleaned the rotor, installed brand new spark plugs that I just happened to have and still nothing, just turning over. My buddy came over and we checked the plug wires for spark and had nothing. We had the cap off and I cranked it over and he saw spark jump from the coil. So I promptly drove to town, picked up a cap and rotor and SHAZAM she started right up. I wish I knew why it happened but I don't. Hope this helps.

If your Honda will turn over but won't crank and was working just fine before, look at the dash lights. Is a green light with a key pictured flashing? If so, its a security/computer problem. Unhook your battery, connect the cables to each other for about half an hour. Then connect them back to the battery and that should fix it. It happened to me last week. Now I need to go get a jew key programmed so it doesn't happen again. But I've been driving it for 3 days now (same key) no problem. PSA: DON'T EVER LET YOUR CAR RUN OUT OF GAS. NOT EVEN BELOW A QUARTER OF A TANK.
