Would having the PCM and TCM recall done by Honda dealer make car turn off while moving and VSA light go on and off periodically? Never had problem before reset.

I would hazard a guess that it certainly could if the recall/reprogramming of the car wasn't done properly. Did it begin right after the recall service or a while later?

Yes it did, but it didn't happen all at once the first few times it was just the VSA light, now it has gotten to the point of shutting off at will. I just got the verdict from the local Honda dealer that it is a bad alternator. Their price to replace it was 700.00 plus tax, I would like to add that includes a new battery, they were also going to replace my third brake light at no charge. The new alternator must have been dipped in gold.
They are expensive as hell but you can get better prices by shopping around. Fortunately for me I have the know how to buy my own parts and do all my own repairs including rebuilds. I only let dealers work on my new cars while under warranty, but with things getting more complex with all the computer garbage on the cars and more being added all the time, I am sure it is just a matter of time before I won't be able to avoid that. Sorry I didn't mention the alternator to you, because I was going on what you said and assumed it was pc related & the dealer probably screwed something up. My wife's 2000 just went bonkers on her one day driving home from work. I ended up putting in the new alternator & belt the next day. You would not believe the crazy things the car started doing and the idiot lights on the dash going nuts. I usually tell everyone start by checking the battery or replace it if it is 5 years old or older, then the alternator, even if it bench tests ok. The newer cars can go crazy if the voltage drops as little as 1 volt to 1 1/2 volts, and the battery or charging system is usually the cause.

Thanks for the input, I did call a small company my dad had used in the past that rebuilds alternators and starters the price if I don't need a battery is just under 200.00 with a one year warranty will be going there with the car in the morning. Thankfully I didn't go for the dealer price.
