I took the suspension apart, I have the knuckle sitting on the floor and when i try to pry the axle shaft from the transfer case it will not budge. Is there something im misssing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I changed axle on cars before and once you pry they just pop off. im lost on this one.

On most cars it can be pryed out but on your model they clips are stubborn. It is recommended that you use a slide hammer and a cv shaft pulling tool. That way force is not exerted on one side of the retaining clip.
There's a coffee pin on the ininside of the four wheel drive c.a.d.
I meant retainer pin I'll need a special tool to remove pin
If your replacement half shaft doesn't have a spindle end, but ends in an open boot with the CV bearing exposed, then you don't pry it from the car at all. Cut the inner boot off and slide the shaft out of the retaining cup. Clean out the old grease. The new shaft should have come with moly lube packet. Grease up the CV end, and slide back into the retaining cup. Fasten retaining bands for the dust boot.
Under your car right where your pulling out the axle the boot or whatever it’s called on this one it looks like it’s connected to a bracket but that actually comes off but right behind that is a 5in box looking thing with some bolts holding a cover it take the cover off and shine a flashlight in there is a snap ring that requires a special snap ring plyers kind of a pain to get to
