Asked by ElantraDriver Apr 27, 2009 at 08:09 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Elantra

Question type: Car Customization

The 2009 Elantra tends to be a little bumpy on uneven roads.  Is there anything that I can have done to it to smoothen the ride quality?

The main problem is the chassis - so everything you do will be part of the deal. However - use higher tyres - they absorb a whole lot of the actual stess to the shocks. Taking into consideration your car is brand new (2009?), I have no doubts in the shocks quality. Even so, check from a local Monroe supplyer if they offer the dual acting shocks - that is a major improovment in terms of ride quality, however such shocks tend to loose grip in fast cornering speeds, so keep that in mind as well ;)
