I have a 97 ford explorer. The check engine light is on and it wont pass emissions. I've replaced all parts dealing with the tune up. What could be the problem?

Originally it said i had a misfire and oxygen sensor. i just had all the parts replaced and the light was still on. i have not taken it back yet to see what the codes are saying now.
