Sitting for 5 years and won't start

The  Ford Explorer has been sitting for 5 years . We
got a new battery, oil change, starter, and gas but
won't start. What could it be ?

Does it crank and not fire up? Can you hear the fuel pump start up when you turn the key to on? Check all the fuses, relays and fusible links if you suspect no power. If you have power you may not be getting fuel, try a fuel pressure test.

Also Battery Terminal wires Corrode. Check Ground and engine block to frame ground. Check to make sure mice did not make a home in your air filter or tube/Throttle body (it happens).

Purchase an HEI spark detector and check each plug wire plus the towers on the coil. If you get spark to each cylinder then move on to a possible fuel problem.
