I have a 1993 Honda Civic cx it died out on me
when I was driving, so I got it to a friends house and
check the fuel pump(it works), changes the spark
plugs and fuel filter. It has started a few times but
after driving it for a few minutes it dies out again,
any ideas??

If you put cheap gas in car, this may be the issue. Try Premium gas before going to a repair shop. However, if you live in OC California, you can call Mike McClain @ 949-581-6285 Import Auto Works. He has been fixing my cars for the past 8 years. Excellent and honest.
If you by fuel from gas stations that are shadey, there might be water in your gas tank. Try to siphon some out and let it sit in a jar, you will see. Our garage has ran into that one before. Your cars computer and fuel injection will keep it trying to run but the water just cuts it out
i out dry gas in it and went to a better gas station and got fuel but still not starting
Check the main fuse under the dash as the inserts for the fuse can become loose and not hold the fuse in place properly, that's what it was on my 93 Civic dx also check relays under the dash if it's not the fuse
