How many miles should I expect a 2010-2012 Lincoln MKT to last before it dies?

Asked by astone34 May 31, 2013 at 11:21 AM about the 2010 Lincoln MKT

Question type: General

I'm considering buying a 2010 or 2012 Lincoln MKT but I want to know how long I can
expect to keep it. I want a car that is going to be dependable for years. Is it a car that
typically "dies" at 100K, 200K, more? I have no idea and I'm wondering if I should buy
this car or go towards a truck like the F150 or Nissan Titan.

Maintenance is your key to success...oil changes, tire rotations, filters, wipers, alignments & whatever else is described in your manual. My father has a Lincoln LS (not sure on year), but it has 135k miles on it and runs like a champ! We love our MKT!

Even with proper maintenance and proper care I can't say the same for mine. With 95,000 miles it's hae 3 turbos replaced (and it only has 2). Plus numerous other issues. I'll never buy a Lincoln MKT again, this thing has soured the Lincoln name for me. Left my son and I stranded during the hurricane even though it had been to Shumacher Lincoln just weeks prior.

I have a 2012 MKT with 90,000 miles and haven't had any problems. The main reason I bought it was because I have a bad back and the seats are so comfortable on a long trip. I love all of the tech features and it has lots of power when you need to pass someone.

I have Lincoln MKT 2014 with 2.0l Ecoboost (approx 220-240 hp) FWD with 210k miles on it. So far no issues with Engine or Transmission (shits not smooth, a little kick), the problems I had was the Climat Control Unit (with LCD and all the buttons) which I replaced completely, some issues with temperature sensors inside the cabin. I wish I would have 3.7l AWD or 3.5 Ecoboost.

Some one above was leaning towards a Nissan Titan. Do a little lookin. Nissan is not even in the ball park with Ford and Chev. Ram, Wellllll they are were bought by Fiat, for Pete's sakes. fiat = Fix It Again Tony. Go to YouTube and search a quirky guy named Scotty Klimer. Then search Nissan on his videos. NOTHIN drops in value faster than a Nissan

I have a 2010 mkt 3.7lv6 with almost 148000 miles on it now (had 109000 when I bought it) from a friend whose husband passed. It was his car and I got an amazing deal that couldn't be passed up. Paid $7k for it. So far it has had no engine or transmission issues but has had major suspension issues. I've replaced almost every part underneath except the drive axle and rear control arms which are next. Hopefully that solves the problem.
