Those cats really are hard to get going sometimes. Just kidding....OK? If the battery is fully charged like tenspeed said, and often they are not when new, then may be anything from icm to starter. Do any lights work? If not, terminals/cables, fuses, ignition switch, try neutral instead of Park if it's an automativ, sometimes the contacts in the shifter can prevent it from starting

I just went through the same thing with my GT. however it turned out to be the selector switch on the trans. Also called the neautral safety switch. There were other indicators that happened before the failure though. Part of it was the rigging of it by the trans shop when they put in the new trans. In any case get someone who can troubleshoot, you can change a load of parts before you get the failed one...

The easiest way is if you have AAA tell them your battery is dead.they sent out a battery truck for me.they hook up their little computer to your car ,and it will tell you if its the battery, starter,or alt.. most likely its your battery or starter tho.
