Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have about $1,500 left before it is paid off.  What would be the smartest thing
for me to do at this point?  I'm now considering of getting a newer car and I can
comfortably afford to pay around $250/ month.  I've paid my car on time and
never missed a payment and have established my credit but still not great.  Any
advise would be greatly appreciated.
