What is the power mode and ev buttons for?

Asked by queenofanything Dec 26, 2013 at 10:05 PM about the 2010 Toyota Prius

Question type: General

What does the power mode and ev buttons do in my prius? I dont notice any difference in the power mode and the ev says it is not
aavailable.

the power mode lets the car take in full power and stay there until you change the setting to eco. This does away with the fuel saving at start up and driving. The ev mode is for running a short distance at the end of your travel home on just the battery to quietly get home for about 1 to 3 miles! If you try to go too fast it will change into eco mode and go!
