Does the rear window of the Ford Edge open?

No, and that's quite a bummer. would be nice if it did.
Ford got a lot of things right with this vehicle - too bad they missed this idea.
If the window opened, they would have to get rid of the rear wiper. Also, not really sure how the rear defroster would work as well.
Really, Sam? SUVs have had opening rear windows plus rear wipers plus rear defrosters since SUVs were created. They should have made the back window open on the Edge. It's dumb that it doesn't.
The lift gate window should open to help mature owners not to have and open the heavy lift gate. We find that quite difficult. BUDDY
I have driven a Ford Escape, Explorer or Expedition since 2002 and never even thought to ask when I purchased my 2017 Edge 2 months ago. Yesterday when I needed to put a few 2x4's in the back, I simply could not believe it. This is the single most stupid thing (and that is one bold statement) that Ford has done in a long time.

I agree with the masses I’m replacing my Jeep Liberty which has a rear window that opens as well as a wiper and defroster. I am disabled and need the window to open. Not even the Cherokee has this feature as it saves money for the manufacturer. Deal breaker for sure.
has this changed for 2018 or19? what compact or midsize suvs or cross overs open
Sadly, my 2005 Ford Escape back window opened separately WITH window defroster and wiper working - upgraded to 2001 Edge, and I'm UPSET that the window does NOT open!
