My 2010 Chevy Malibu's radio is dark

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu LS w/ standard factory AM/FM Single CD Player.
One day I just noticed that it was completely dark, no display at all, but It still
still works completely. No LCD display on any part of the radio. All other
lights on the dash are fine. Did not change or jump start. What could be
wrong, and how do I fix it?

Check the dimer switch that controls the brightness of the dash lights, adjust from high to low, low to high to see difference...

If you mean the dimmer switch the controls the intensity of the lights on the dash and the dome lights, I did try it. It still dims the rest of the dash lights and turned all the way, turns on the dome interior light, but has no effect on the radio, which is totally dark
If the radio plays then there is power. Lighting for the radio must be out. Would need repair.

New Information- Just fould out my daughter opened a can of seltzer that hit the radio with force and thats when the lights went out. Is it possible there is a fuse that might have shorted out, or is the radio basically unrepairable if it got water in its electronics?
Well you said the rest of the thing worked, just the display is out. So you would have to decide if you want to take it out or not, to be fixed. I don't know if anyone fixes them anymore, May just have to go to a junk yard and get a different one, they are easy to install on that car.
