my 2005 Elantra has a transaxle problem- has there been a recall at all?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the car is turned on in the morning, there is a whoosing noise, as if the water is going back and forth.

Then I started to hear a noise as I slowed down, or took my foot off the brake.

My brother said it sounds like the transaxle may have a problem and I just bought this car about 6 months ago.

Hi Susan, there are no recalls regarding the transaxle on the Elantra.
