GM doesn't use inertia fuel cutoff switches, so that's not the cause of your problem
I agree with RickMN. Examine the wiring to the fuel pump for something obvious. Listen for the fuel pump to run when you turn the key to the run position. Check the fuel pressure. If that all checks out OK then the problem lies elsewhere.
I drove over some train tracks and went to accelerate and didn’t get any gas. I pulled over and turned the car off and then it wouldn’t turn back over.

2006 cobalt 2.2 The fan stays on even when car is off, removed fan 2 relay to turn it off replaced relay same problems. The car doesnt get hot enough to require fan to be on. I let it set over night...
