2010 Chevy Cobalt won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Chevrolet cobalt that was fine one day and the next morning
appeared the battery had run down. Doors wouldn't unlock, radio wouldn't
work, lights were dim. The battery was good!   I must say I have been very
lucky with this car after watching all the videos while trying to troubleshoot
this problem.  So fuses were checked main fuse first of course. One fuse to
cigarette lighter blown but no others.  After much angst and hair pulling(and 2
weeks) going back to the beginning one more time we found the wire to the
main fuse corroded and broken inside the holder!
