Ac problem

My son has a 2010 chevy impala and the ac and
heater blow at the same time and I took it to a
mechanic and he told me that it was the ac
actuater and it would cost 580.00 ,can anyone help
me out and kind of guide me to fix this problem??

Ya it's blowing cold on one side and hot on the other and it makes a bunch of clicking noise
