If a Tiberon has been properly maintained, and driven nicely, sure it'll make it to 200K mi. BUT that's a big IF
I am currently at 194,000 miles and the car is runing great. Take care of the car and it will take care of you. I have owned it since 2006 and have replaced the clutch and replaced the axles. Take care of your car.

My 2003 is at 135,000 and is still running strong, still fun to drive and reliable - I've seen them with over 200,000.. Just maintain it, clean oil, clean air, clean fuel, repair problems and you will see 200,000 easy..
I have 138,000 right now on my 2008 SE and it runs awesome. I have replaced the water pump, suspension and clutch. Need to have the rear brakes done, Like it is said "Take care of your car and it will take care of you"
I have a 2003 Tiburon and the ole girl gots 237493 miles on her still gets up and goes just put 700 into her but trying to hit a million and call Hyundai
I bought my tib 2003 couple days ago and have to changed theverything clutch and flywheel and it is expensive 1800$ I'm wondering if it's worth it , the car has 105000 mile and the first owner took careffect of the car
i am a owner of a 2003 tiburon gt. it has well over 201,000 miles and still runs perfect without any problems.
I have a Tiburon GT Limited automatic with 148,000 miles. I just replaced the CV joints (first set), both rear bearings and disks (first set), rear brake pads, Tires and plugs(NGK Iridium) and wires (NGK). The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 136,000, along with a transmission and cooling system flush when I purchased it.. The motor oil was changed to synthetic at purchase. The motor is tight (no blue smoke) and the transmission shifts smoothly. It is still a beautiful rust free coupe. The CD player finally gave out, oh well.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention its a 2006.
My 2001 Tiburon 2.0 4 cylinder engine has 217,000 easy freeway miles. I'm the original owner and have only had minor repairs done on the car (window motor, axles, radiator, alternator). The car still runs like a champ and I think it should get to 250,000 miles with no problems, maybe even a lot more. It's the stop and go situation that really wears on the engine I think, like I said most of my miles are on a clear freeway.

I have a 1997 I have 308,583 miles and counting original engine just changed timing belts water pumps etc.runs like a top

I have a 2007 tiburon with a 2.7.V6 5speed. I currently have 303000 miles on the car. It will probly run for another 300000. The timing belt was replaced at 250000. The clutch assembly was replaced at 180000. Here in Virginia we have yearly inspections and the Tibby sails through with few problems (mainly light bulbs). I put on 1000 miles a week on my car because i live 75 miles from work one way.
I have 2007, Hyundai Tiburon GT limited V6 (6 speed manual). It has 248300 miles. Change cluth around 180k miles, cost me around $2,300, change timing belts ~$500, rear break, oil change (Synthetic oil/ high mileage Synthetic blend) every 16k kms, need new coolant. And need to change small things. I hope it will hit 350k miles.
I absolutely love all these positive comments about the Tiburon!! I have an 04 GT Spec Edition and LOVE it! Going on 160k miles...Hope I get another 160k+ out of it. I can't think of parting with it. I live in PA and winter road treatments...not a spot of rust on it, yet. It's the best car I've ever owned! :)
I just got an 03 v6 5speed with 101k transmission is out I was having doubt in where or not I wanted the tiburón but I see it’s a reliable car think Ima keep it

I have a 2005 Tiburon GT only 93k miles, i rarely take care of it (im a girl) and im always super late on oil changes. Had it for about 8 years now. It has some rust which is my only complaint but thats because i live in a shitty state where it snows half the year & salty roads are no fun. Never had any major problems with it, seriously a very reliable car. Love it so much that i decided to buy an 07 Tiburon just for my spring/summer car. Wish they still made Tiburons, theres no other car i love as much for the cheap price tag <3 im now so proud to own 2 of them
I just bought mine off the second owner. He bought it when it had 112,000 miles. I bought it from him at 331,000 miles. It wasn't running on all 6 cylinders. He was going to scrap it because he thought it was done. Turns out the timing belt slipped a tooth. I put a new one in and this thing is a little rocket. It runs awesome and everything works..the windows, heat and all that..Ohh and it handles like a frickin go cart and now I,m at 333,000 miles and lovin this steal
I have a 2006 GT at 192,000 miles and just recently had the clutch replaced. The car drives great and am hoping to get 230,000+ miles out of it!
I have a 2007 2.7 v6 limited, I live right on the ocean and occasionally lived on an island so rust is pretty bad with this bad boy, I bought this car in January of 07 and currently have 174k miles, gone through multiple batteries bought a new alternator and replaced a front bearing with the exception of general maintenance, that's all I've done for this car. Coming into this thread I was hoping to see tibs that made it to 200k and let's just say I'm pleasantly surprised.
I have a 2007 2.0 Coupe Siii with 91,892 miles on the Clock, I haven't owned it for long. But it has full service history at 10k intervals and a Cambelt change at 61,000, it is very clean and tidy for its age and still a head turner as it attracts boy racers to my annoyance. The only concern for any Corrosion on these cars is the rear subframe, if like me you live in England or any Country that just loves to use tonnes of road Salt/grit in winter if not maintained it can be a heavy expense. Which is why I had mine linished and undercoated, apart from that mine will need rear Discs and Pads, as they are prone to eating these for breakfast. As for Drive and Performance, it isn't a Pocket rocket though the exhaust system gives a nice throaty sound the drive is remarkably pleasant considering you feel every bump on the road. I'd say its more of a Cruiser (not by Default) than a Hot Coupe, as it just eats endless of tarmac. These are One of the first Cars that launched Hyundais 5 year warranty claim, the Engine if maintained properly is Bullet proof and Mechanically solid through and through, so, touch wood I should have mine for the net foreseeable future.
I am suppose to buy a 2008 Tiburon tomorrow it has 2.0 L 4 speed manual tranny, it has 129,000 on the engine. Should I buy it or do you think that I will be unsatisfied or are the motors good for alot more miles?

Boutta get a 2003 V6 GT tiburon with 120,000 miles on it and you couldn't talk me out of it especially since I have hella previous knowledge working on a buddy's tiburon with him it'll be a piece of cake to keep up with the maintenance
I am looking at it 2006 tiburon gs not gt with 230k miles on it, it has a new timing belt, new clutch, short throw, new breaks and callipers, good wiring, new head gasket, new injectors, new alternator, new spark plugs and a new starter, also a custom exhaust, intake and tint all around. Only For 3K, so do you think it would last me a while I don’t want start out with a 230k tiburon but it drives and is in the condition of a new car? Do you think it’s worth the 3K and could it get me to 300k miles?
