Do car batteries come with different terminal sizes (positive terminal)?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just replaced a battery on my 2010 Hyundai Sonata. I believe the new positive terminal is smaller than the old one because I tightened the clamp as much as possible and the clamp still slides on the post. Is there a simple fix that a mom with limited tools can do?

...okay, in my experience the +RED was the large size and the -Black the negative....maybe it's different with a chinese car~ follow the color~
Yes,they make different size posts. They sold you the wrong battery.
I wouldn't advise it but you can take a small screw and put between the battery and the post and tighten it up but I would get the right battery.

courtesy of wikipedia~ In DC circuits, the positive pole is usually marked red (or "+") and the negative pole is usually marked black (or "−"), but other color schemes are sometimes used in automotive and telecommunications systems. On a car battery, the positive pole usually has a larger diameter than the negative pole.

Stupid questions are rare. Unfortunately for modern America, stupid answers have reached epidemic proportions. Once upon a time, most Americans suspected it was better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out, removing all doubt. Sadly, that era is lone gone. When all the lights are on, but no one is home, the recipe to "Make America Great Again" requires a return to 1940's teaching methods, beginning with scrapping computers.
This happens all the time. People don't realize the terminals are tapered. If you simply loosen the clamp, pull it off, then put it on the new battery and tighten it, it will be too loose, because it is way too high on the terminal. You need to LOOSEN the nut, and OPEN the clamp some so it will slide ALL THE WAY DOWN the terminal. Now it will tighten.
