Hi there
I got a audi a4 2010
Had a number of codes and now
doesn't.crank all.it says.is parking brake and
esp please help the mechanic also was
playing with the mass air.flow but before
that the car was working.
Now.every time plig in the computer seems
ecu not communicate

My wire had rotted off there before once, which resulted in my getting a new starter this is most likely your culprit. You can do the starter yourself but its a big job it requires the passenger side engine mount to be removed as well as the alternator; and so that you know there is one bolt in from the front and one bolt in from the back. i spent a day trying to figure that out when i changed mine thinking it was a broken bolt..

next, most audi's don't start because of either 1 of 2 problems 1. a vacum line is broken, or 2 the fuel system is not providing the right amount of fuel into the system. the first things you want to check are the crank case hoses if you have them on your engine. Second is the mass air flow sensor (MAF) which if dirty causes bad idle or the engine not to run. Then check your fuel filter it could be clogged if you have not changed it in over a year. Also check to see when you turn the key on if the fuel pump makes the humming noise its supposed to when it primes the system. Opening the back seat will help you hear this as the access panel to the pump is in the trunk. After this check the spark plugs make sure they are not fouled and that the spark plugs wires are not broken or sparking off other things. And after that check the coil pack. These are your most common issues for the car to not start

I drop the car to the mechanic and was working,then I went there and he told me I.need battery,the battery went flat,got the battery,drop it to him and he said I was playing with mass air flow sensor,straight tried to start the car and says parking brake malfunction and esp please check owners manual. Doesn't crank,doesnt do any noise the fuel pamp nothing

Coils,spark plugs are new,I just changed Cant hear any noise of the fuel pamp at all

First, how confident are you w that mechanic? He sounds like he may be great w GM or Ford But Audi is a unique car. Need someone w knowledge. I will check my books on ur dashboard kites n get back to u soon

You might get a chuckle out of this, but it is a known little issue If at some point you've replaced your brake fluid reservoir, or flushed and refilled, there is that little bobber in it that needs to float. Well in mine it got stuck down and lit up the lights that you've listed like a christmas tree. Unscrewed the lid and wiggled the bobber around till it floated properly, never had a flash since

Going back to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor....u may be on to a common problem w all my Audi's. I had your experience in the past and I cleaned the throttle body w carb//throttle body cleaner.....and I had a MAF sensor cleaner......and some Techron in my gas tank....and u know....it all worked

Just an update on your codes: A mechanic suggested: And I changed the brake switch and nothing changed. Checked the break fluid reservoir and replaced the brake fluid, and nothing changed. Done based on Audi feedback: Replaced the ABS module and nothing changed. Replaced the Mass air flow sensor and nothing changed. Done based on a suggestion given by my mechanic: Remove the Intake manifold module, clean it and reinstall it, and guess what: problem solved.

After was giving me wrong info on the dashboard like:oil level low add 1 litre maximum I.was added oil agai and again,car ent up in the mechanic with 11 litres oil inside the engine

Tooked out,started the car and bad smoke everywhere,after I changed the coils and smoke has gone by 80% Mechanic says one the car needs new engine one says problem could be anything. I m just loosing it and I think I will go to call electrician for the car

If you are going to find a good mechanic....I suggest you go to AAA and they have certified mechanics that are honest and earn their certification. If u don't have membership, then get one for the year....it will give u 3=4 tows as well

Ok mate...listen. That year 2010-13 the engines in the A4 and A5's have been known to eat excessive oil. Someone sued Audi for this excessive oil consumption. Audi will repair ur car for free. They have a 3 step process. Step 1 they replace gaskets. I will send u the article in a moment. Go take ur car to dealer....rarely do I say that. Ha ha

September 28, 2014 — It's normal for a car to use oil, but owners of the Audi A4, A5 and Q5 say their oil consumption has been far from normal. Now Audi and Volkswagen have agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit about that very subject. The lawsuit alleges about 126,000 Audi vehicles have defects in the 2.0L turbocharged engines that caused the vehicles to guzzle oil. The affected vehicles are the 2009-2010 Audi A4 and Audi A5, and the 2011 Audi A4, Audi A5, and Audi Q5 with the engine code of CAEB. Audi owners--including owners of model years not named in the lawsuit--complain their cars drink oil at rates no car should. "I only owned the car a week prior to break down. Audi dealer in PA fixed the car, and it needed a quart of oil to get home 800 miles. the car drank oil, 1 qt per 1000 miles. Audi told me "that's how they are" and it was disturbing that it always needed oil. This is THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!" - 2009 Audi A4 owner, Ventura, California "The Audi/VW 2.0T engine needs to be recalled now for excessive oil consumption. The first complaint is that per their spec, an owner can use 8 quarts of oil between the recommended oil changes (do the math). No way should any car manufacturer be legally allowed to say that 1 quart per 1000 mi (or 600 mi per my manual) is normal for a 2009 car with moderate mileage." - 2009 Audi A4 owner, Tampa, Florida Although Audi agreed to settle the case, the judge said the automaker raised important defenses, including: All cars use oil and any actual oil consumption issues have been disclosed in the vehicles’ owner’s manuals. The engine warning light comes on in advance to warn the oil is running low, so plaintiffs would have a tough time showing the alleged defect is a safety issue. Oil consumption is a maintenance issue, therefore plaintiffs cannot establish an actionable defect exists. Under the settlement agreement, current owners or lessees who have not already paid to have repairs made will be entitled to a replacement of the crankcase pressure regulating valve, front crankshaft seal and front crankshaft bolt. Additionally, the engine control module software will be updated to match the new part(s). The agreement also gives owners and lessees an extended warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles to 8 years/80,000 miles (whichever occurs first) to cover any repair needed to correct excessive engine oil consumption. Audi will also reimburse any affected owners of the 2009-2011 Audi A4, Audi A5 and the 2011 Audi Q5 for parts and labor on any previous repairs made for oil consumption problems. Additionally, the settlement provides attorneys' fees of $2.3 million and expenses of $100,000, plus $2,500 to each of the five lead plaintiffs. The Audi oil consumption lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California - Ali Asghari, et al. v. Volkswagen Group of America Inc, et al. The plaintiffs were represented by the law firms of Capstone Law APC, EcoTech Law Group PC, and Strategic Legal Practices APC. I have an Audi A5 that fits in this excessive oil consumption lawsuit, and I am 3rd owner as well. The lawsuit can be read in detail. Find it under Google. They repaired the vehicle.

put in ring seal every other oil change problem solved. 2010 tiguan driven 80k miles only had to rebuild it 3 times. but not because of oil consumpsion....lol
