There's no trunk release on the inside of the vehicle there is only a release on trunk itself at the bottom you release the trunk by inserting your hand on the handle when you apply pressure it will release the trunk

It is horrible. I was in the freezing cold saturday with my 2014 CRV and I could not open the trunk to put my groceries in. I was furious, never saw a car that does not offer a trunk release from inside. Other than that I love the car, but it is making me hesitate to lease another CRV when my lease is up in September.

Just an extra note : There is an emergency lever accessible from the inside hidden behind a plastic cover in case you loose battery power. It's described in the manual. Got stock at the airport coming back from a trip in the middle of winter with a dead battery. Surely remember this one. :-(

I have a 2019 crv and going crazy looking for the trunk opener. Very disappointed that there is not one. Never heard of such a thing. A few other things I wish the car had.

I am actually not very happy with my 2019 CRV. Can’t believe there isn’t an automatic trunk opener; very frustrating when trying to get it open when coming out of the grocery store... also no trunk release inside.. seriously thinking about trading it in..not what I thought it was going to be. Should have bought the RAV or ROUGE
